Fishing and Ice Report 1/3/25

We hope everybody had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We thank you for your business and support in 2024, and we look forward to 2025!

After a couple years of poor ice conditions, it sure feels good to have GREAT ice conditions. Currently on most our area lakes we are sitting on 11"-15"+ of ice. Obviously there is more ice in some spots and less in some spots, but in general the ice conditions are great. There is zero snow on the lakes, so be prepared for slippery ice! We are seeing vehicles traveling onto the lakes and pulling houses out, but travel at your own risk and always check ice thickness to and from your location.

The walleye bite has been fair on Big Pine, Little Pine, Rush and Otter Tail in 17-30 Feet. The low light conditions of morning and evening are producing the best. A few fish are being caught on jigging spoons, but the majority of fish are coming on set lines with a shiner, sucker or rainbow.

We are sitting on good on bait for the weekend, and expect it to be a busy weekend with lots of houses going out! Be Safe and Happy Fishing!
